Client's business aims to promote the usage of steel in construction industry in the SAARC region. Towards this aim, the organisation provides metallic coated and painted steel sheets, pre-engineered buildings (PEB) and roll formed roof and walling profiles to its valued customers

Design Process Analysis

The client had a very clear vision about computerized automation and had successfully implemented Computerized Integrated Manufacturing System. Though this system automated client's process, there was still need of some process integration within the system. PARAM successfully implemented Computerized Integrated Development Process (CIDP) which runs parallel to client's existing system and makes the whole system fool-proof.

Our Solutions:

• 1. The Project Information Form (PIF) Interface.

  It captures all details of PIF which were previously given through Excel Sheet. Through the user friendly interface, the user can enter the details efficiently. All checks and logics are incorporated to ensure data validity. A 3-D AutoCAD model is created from the PIF data in the real time, which can be shown to the client for confirmation of his requirements. A 2D proposal drawing is also created automatically by the software.



• 2. SmarTrack:

  It is a scheduling software application. This software receives input of all Enquiry Data received through PIF from CSD Department. The software tracks every process from enquiry to quotation to project execution. The Design Head can track and manage Design resources as per availability and assign priorities to tasks based on the level of urgency. When any change is made in SmarTrack, it automatically sends the E-mails to concerned persons.



• 3. SmarTime

  A Daily Timesheet Tracking software application which tracks the daily work done by all users. Also, user can view his previous and present work status. It helps in getting details of the efforts put on each activity by the design team.



• 4. CSV Extractor

  It Extracts the BOM Table and Title table data from the AutoCAD drawing file and converts into CSV files. The CSV file is then uploaded to SAP.



• 5. Real Time Messaging (RTM) System

  The Production Department is connected through the HMI (Human Machine Interface) to SAP. When SAP throws errors due to inconsistent data in the Central Database, RTM immediately Locks the Machine from which order is confirmed and notifies Sap administrator. This prevents manufacturing of items for which error is thrown from SAP. The HMI interface is unlocked only when the SAP administrator corrects the error. Authorized person can monitor all the activities by 'RTM Dashboard'.



• 6. PARAM Control Panel

It is ADN based tool which maintains the user rights as per the Software. It helps to restrict any unauthorized person from making any change in the settings of any software developed by PARAM.



• 7. PARAM Loader

  This tool is used to install new Software and Updates of the installed software on Network Computer. Each time the new software or update of the existing software is required to be installed on the network machines, it gives reminder to the user about its installation. This tool can be used virtually anywhere in the world and can be used for any number of machines.
